Corrective exercises

for spinal curvature

Posture disorders

Corrective gymnastics for spinal curvature is prescribed and carried out after detecting posture disorders. Clinical and software measurements are performed to establish the nature of the postural disorder and determine the type of spinal curvature. In case functional disorders are identified, an individual corrective program is developed to correct these disorders and improve the overall center of gravity. The impact of this program and its effectiveness is monitored periodically, but does not require assisted work. In the event that a structural posture disorder – such as scoliosis – is clinically identified, it is necessary to apply another, more in-depth, complex approach, in which several specialists are coordinated for the purpose of maximally effective impact. This type of torsional changes in the spine require the application of assisted specialized methods and an individual approach depending on the nature of the curve and the age of the adolescent. These specialized methods are generally called specific physiotherapy exercises for scoliosis and include:

Spinal curvature – scoliosis

Idiopathic scoliosis is a complex three-dimensional deformity of the spine and torso, occurring in children in good general health, which can progress in relation to multiple factors during the rapid growth spurt in puberty or later in life (M Rigo, Th Grivas, J O’Brian, in scoliosis 2010).
