Terry’s soft tissue mobilization

The application of soft tissue mobilizations is extremely pleasant and relaxing. Soft tissue mobilizations are performed by slowly and carefully stretching the muscles of the spine, while simultaneously causing the articular surfaces of the small joints and the intervertebral spaces to separate. This relaxes tense and painful muscles and increases movement in the segment.

Mobilization shutters

The Mulligan concept is a method of manual therapy, in particular kinesitherapy, and has a beneficial effect on the joints. It increases their mobility and improves the movement that occurs in them. Joint tissues are positively affected, increasing their elasticity, which in turn improves joint mobility. This effect reduces muscle tension, induces relaxation, and facilitates movement and exercise. It consists of specialized techniques applied by a therapist, combined with normal, physiological movements. The concept has a beneficial effect and is highly effective for maintaining good physical condition.

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)

A concept for influencing the musculoskeletal and nervous system, improving their functionality by stimulating nanoreceptors, proprioceptors located in joints and muscles in combination with exteroreceptors (external stimuli).

  • P – Proprioceptive: receptors are involved, providing information about the movement and position of the body in space;
  • N – Neuromuscular: the nervous and muscular systems are also involved;
  • F – Facilitation: the execution of a given movement is facilitated.

To achieve its goals, PNF uses various principles, techniques, and starting positions, the aim of which is to improve a person’s motor function and body structure.
